Sorry, I Dropped Paint On Your Shoes

For the past couple of weeks I've been completely obsessed with pop art or even just art lately. I'm mostly into Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, and Andy Worhol.  I'm also into Any Warhol's wonderful advice with life! Some of my favorite quotes:

  • The idea of waiting for something makes it more exciting.
  • I like boring things.
  • I'm not afraid to die; I just don't want to be there when it happens.
  • A picture means I know where I was every minute. That's why I take pictures. it's a visual diary.
  • I think everybody should be nice to everybody.
Some of this I think is ironic. Like how he says he likes boring things and he was so expressive with his art and how he used such vibrant colors.

Roy lichteinstein I adore because of well.. comics I'm a comic book geek and if you say your not a geek your lying because we're all geeks. Say it loud and proud! Although comic books for me are the Archies and old batman comics, I still read the news paper funnies.

And last but not least, Keith Haring. I think it's great how he sends such a powerful message through his art. I'm still trying to find a shirt or something with his art on it.

Anyway here are some of their art.

That's So Two Months Ago....

Marc Jacob's spring collection! I know it's his spring collection but I just love it so much and I didn't have a blog two months ago. Besides the whole 70's look is perfect for summer I think. Im trying to find a big rimmed (any color) hat like the one the tiny models wear but I haven't had much luck. So anyways. Enjoy!

Illa In Wonderland

I thought I looked very much like the with under the house in the Wizard of Oz.

I got a lot of comments on this clip at school. People respect mefor being different but come on people don't just sit there and admire go out and be weird or different in your own way! Yes, you will cause stares but it's worth it!

I LOVE this picture I think I'll blow it up and put it on my wall.

Still deciding on a name for my new stuffed octopus. Ideas?

Sorry for stepping on you, Book.

Sorry Alice for stealing your thunder and everything but that's the only title that seemed appropriate. I took it upon myself to set a little photo shoot in my back yard and looking at all the trees and flowers it seemed kind of mystical and like I'd fallin' into a storybook. And then it hit me! Like a pile of bricks..... but slightly less painful.... I was going to do an Alice in Wonderland post. My outfit is.. sorry you can't see all of it but I'm wearing a banana dress from H&M, Socks: A buy, sell, trade store. I'd tell you the name but I guess the  only child in me has come out and sorry I'm being selfish and I find that weird because I'm not an only child, and Im hardly ever selfish...... weird. Anyway, You can't see it but I'm wearing a Duckie necklace from Flamingo Cupcake on Etsy. Also I'm wearing a jean jacket: mom's, Monster clip: Swap Meet, T-strap shoes: vintage, Octopus stuffed animal: Craft fair. Oh and books: Borders and Barnes and Noble. I also must say that I love the Portable Dorothy Parker. Buy anyway that's all I have to say. *Theme Music* Till next time Im Illa L. and that was this weeks segment on Illa in wonderland. Good night and drive safe.

"What's That!?" " A dress." "Says Who!?" "Calvin Klein" "It looks like underwear!!"

I felt so bad after my last post that I didn't include one of my favorite comedies..... Clueless. I mean I'm not saying i'd like to act like a valley girl or that I look up to them... as if! It's just it's hilarious and I'm talking about the movie not the show. Sorry but there are just some things like movies that shouldn't be put into TV shows. But that's just my opinion. Anyway, i felt bad about that so i thought I'd dedicate a whole post to clueless. Well.... here it is! i haven't watched Clueless in a while but the last time I did I watched it with my dad and I was nervous he'd judge and say she's vile and well, clueless but I caught him a few times laughing really hard, mostly when she was driving and she's terrible and all those things happen. Yep, i really summand it up for ya. Here are some pictures because I'm big on adding picture to go with my post. Ok well...

Until next time,
Illa L.

P.S. Comment please I'd love to read your input !

Make Em' Laugh!

I've suddenly noticed how people in comedy can have such style but even though some may be ridiculous choices think of all the styles similar to them. Most of the fashion choices I choose come from John Hughes films because well..... he did so many (may he rest in peace.) But even older shows like I love Lucy and Lavern and Shirley have such fun clothes. I think I'll sew a giant I on all my clothes just like Lavern (Note that of course Lavern didn't put an I she put a L) I'll send photos of my I marked clothes. Oh! I'll wear my I  top with a big polka dotted shirt like Lucy and i'll have some puffy socks or something ( Sienfeld) and sholder pads ( golden girls)  and a fun 80's hat ( sixteen candles.) Yay! I have a new project and I have a new necklace I got that has Duckie on it and I'll get my hair cut like Jane from Daria. I'll look wild! I'm excited now I don't know how I'll be able to sleep tonight.

Truly the girl who will have bags under her eyes tomorrow,
Illa L.
